Extended Breeding

Extended breeding is pretty straight forward. You arrange with another chevei owner or ... with yourself, if you own both parents, to agree to a mating for a foal. The parents of the foal cannot be full siblings ; this is why we have more than one stallion. The person who wants the foal is the person to sign the entry book when foal slots are made available. When you sign the entry book, don't choose any parents from the seed herd; leave those spaces blank and go to the COMMENTS section, where you must make sure to type in the following:

And of course, make sure you're choosing a male and a female ^_^;; ID numbers show the gender of the chevei through the last letter, an "m" indicating a male stallion and an "f" indicating a female mare.

An option for stallion owners is to form their own herds. You need the cooperation of at least 3 other mares to start a herd. For your herd, you have to maintain a page with a list of members with their important information provided too. Another feature for a herd page could be a record of the foals that have been born from the herd. The process for making a herd first involves making a page, then you e-mail me for approval. When I approve a herd, I list it on the Satellite Herd list so that other people can visit and see if they'd like to join your herd. Have fun ^_^

For details into the ID numbering system, check out the info page. To find other chevei parents for extended breedings, check the parents list.
